The Blockchain SACCO project explores a modern digital platform that combines traditional cooperative financial services with blockchain technology.
The concept was designed to transform how SACCOs manage members, savings, contributions, loans, and financial transactions through a transparent and accessible digital ecosystem.
Our objective was to create a modern website experience that communicates the value of decentralised financial technology while making cooperative banking services accessible to both existing and prospective members.
Traditional SACCO operations often depend on manual processes, fragmented financial systems, and limited transaction visibility.
Members may experience difficulties accessing financial information, monitoring savings, tracking loan applications, and understanding how cooperative funds are managed.
The challenge was to envision a digital financial experience that brings together cooperative banking principles and blockchain capabilities while maintaining simplicity, usability, and trust.
The website also needed to communicate complex blockchain concepts in a way that everyday users could easily understand.
We adopted a user-centred design approach focused on building trust, simplifying financial interactions, and communicating the benefits of blockchain-powered cooperative banking.
Using Figma, we explored the platform's visual identity, information architecture, website structure, and key user journeys.
Our design strategy focused on: - Brand positioning: Establishing a modern identity that combines cooperative values with financial innovation. - User experience: Making digital financial services easy to discover and understand. - Information architecture: Organising savings, loans, membership, blockchain, and governance information. - Visual communication: Presenting blockchain concepts through clear illustrations and accessible content. - Trust and transparency: Highlighting transaction traceability, financial accountability, and member participation. - Responsive design: Creating a consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
